The Casebook Companion

Pamela M. Yates & Drew A. Kingston

This manual is a companion text to the Casebook of Sexual Offending: A Practice Manual for Diagnosis, Risk Management, and Treatment Planning, a casebook developed for use with The Risk for Sexual Violence Protocol (RSVP) available at Proactive Resolutions. The Casebook is designed to provide practitioners tasked with assessment and treatment planning with practice in using the RSVP. The companion text provides risk evaluations of the 26 cases contained in the Casebook using the RSVP and a variety of actuarial risk assessment measures and structured professional judgment (SPJ) tools. An analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of specific actuarial and SPJ measures is provided, as well as an analysis of their relative utility in each case contained in the Casebook is also provided. RSVP results are also provided for each case. Please note, the RSVP is no longer available for purchase at PPAC.
